Hi, I'm Simone, My journey in MICE and hospitality began right after high school, in 2001 at the Hotelschool. During my studies, I worked weekends at Henk Savelberg’s renowned Vreugd & Rust. That’s where I learned what true hospitality means: attention, finesse, and an eye for detail.
My final internship took me to London, where I spent a year at a five-star hotel in the heart of Bloomsbury, a vibrant city, an international team, and guests from all over the world. Since 2005, I’ve worked fulltime in the MICE industry, across hotels, conference venues, event agencies, and DMCs.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of seeing events from every angle, as an organizer, event planner, venue representative, and participant, giving me a true 360° perspective on the industry.
Why limón? limón was born in Ibiza. The Balearic island I’ve been visiting with family for several decades. What began as visits to our Ibicenco family has become a yearly tradition where we spend our summers, autumns, and Christmas holidays to recharge for the new year and reflect on things.
It’s where my children took their first steps, surrounded by lemon and orange trees, and where countless valuable moments have taken root.
For me, limón embodies everything the island represents: freshness, energy, vitality, and a touch of zest. It’s that same spirit I bring to every event, project, or incentive trip.
